Why God? Why me? Why my family? Why did this horrible thing have to happen to us?
Have you questioned God before? I’ll be honest, me too.
The moment I found out my baby died within my womb I questioned. I begged for the ultrasound results to be wrong. I pleaded with him to give me my baby back. I was upset God let this happen to our precious baby. He knew my main goals in life were to be a wife and a mother. I wanted that above all else.
After my initial shock and frustration, I wanted to know what the Bible said about me losing my baby. I prayed for God to show me the way. I was unable to find the words “miscarriage” or “pregnancy loss” within the Bible, but you know what I did find? Promises. I found many wonderful promises that God gives us through his living word. I found comfort in these words and read them over and over.
I later compiled the verses that comforted me during the loss of my sweet baby. Six years later, I still refer to them from time to time. I find comfort in knowing God cares for us all. He knows exactly what it is like to witness the death of his child. I rest assured that he grieves right alongside me. He loves my baby just as I do. He says my baby matters, even if the “world” says otherwise.
