During the process of creating the logo for this blog, my goal was for it to have meaning and to fully represent the purpose behind the content shared through this blog. Over the years, it has increasingly become more and more important, to me, to be intentional in everything I do. So when I took to the task of creating this logo, I thought deeply, prayed frequently, sought advice, and channeled my inner creativity. With that said, below I have outlined the purpose behind each piece of the logo to share with you. I hope it will encourage you and further explain what you can expect from me.

Three Hearts

First, you notice there are three hearts that create the overall image. Each heart represents the three major aspects of this blog.

1. Educating Children: I am incredibly passionate about teaching children. I want to encourage others to be involved in educating our youth; especially parents. Parents are a child’s first teacher and arguably the most influential. I hope to share content & resources that will encourage others to feel confident in this area.

2. Living Faithfully & Intentionally: This has been a focus of mine over the years and is something I strive to live out each day. As a family, we are continually growing in our faith and we hope to show the love of Jesus in our lives. We certainly are not perfect by any means but I pray that each day we grow more and more like Christ.

3. Living out the Purpose God has given Me: The Bible clearly shows us that God has a plan and purpose in everything. We also see that he has certain purposes for each of us. Aside from being a faithful wife to my husband and a mother to my children, I truly believe God has called me to work in the area of Pregnancy Loss Awareness. After experiencing my own pregnancy loss, God laid it on my heart to support other moms through their loss. Therefore, I created the non-profit Our Hearts Align in order to help me achieve this.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 NIV

Lines Within The Heart

Second, you notice there are thin lines within the smallest heart. This is a representation of how life can be messy and imperfect. We each have had, and will have, moments within our lives where we have struggled. We should acknowledge this and lean on each other for support in this crazy world. Let us align our hearts with one another so no one will be alone.

The Anchor

Third, the anchor represents how God & faith are at the center of everything. It is He who pulls us through those difficult days yet he is also with us in the good days. “Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.” -Hebrews 6:18-19 NLT

Flowers & Leaves

Lastly, the flowers/leaves are colorful and more tropical in nature. This is a nod at being born and raised in Florida. I am thankful for our hometown, the state where my husband & I grew up, and where we started our family. I’m not exactly sure where life will end up leading us but there will always be an appreciation of where it all began.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
