I never thought I needed to deep clean my towels before! After seeing other people post photos and videos of their laundry stripping experiences, I decided that I needed to see if my towels were just as bad. Read my step by step directions. Then watch the video below to see exactly how I cleaned our towels and my reaction to the whole process. Who knows, this might inspire you to do the same.
Simple Process to Deep Cleaning Your Towels
- Wash and dry your towels as you normally would.
- Once towels are dry, put them in a laundry basket and carry them to your bathtub.
- Fill bathtub with fresh warm water.
- Pour in 1 full cup of OxiClean to the warm water.
- Stir with a large spoon.
- Add towels to the bathtub one at a time. (I put in 8 total)
- Stir towels using your large spoon to fully mix and wet towels.
- Let sit for an hour. Stir again.
- Repeat number #8 until your desired length of soaking is finished. (I soaked my towels for a little over 4 hours total)
- Pull towels from tub one by one and squeeze water out.
- Place towels in laundry basket.
- Wash & dry towels again as you normally would. Now you have CLEAN FRESH towels to enjoy!
